The service is free, with 10 credits a day and no account. These terms cover what those credits buy, why you and not this site are responsible for your institution's rules on AI use, and why no score here predicts what another company's detector will say about your text.
These terms cover your use of humanizeai.cc. By using the site you agree to them, and if you do not agree, please do not use the site. The operating entity, governing law and contact address are listed in the last section.
humanizeai.cc is a writing tool. It has two parts. The first part runs entirely in your browser: the AI writing tells analyser, the proofreader, the word counter, the readability checker, the AI vocabulary checker, the originality check, and the signed drafting record. Text used by those tools never leaves your device.
The second part runs on servers. When you press Check or Humanize, the text in the box is sent to our own Cloudflare Pages Function, which forwards it to Modal, a GPU compute provider that runs the model and returns the result. We process that text in memory to produce the result. We do not write it to a database and we do not use it for training. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
The originality tool has five checks. Four compare your document against itself and send nothing anywhere. The fifth searches the live web for distinctive phrases and runs only when you press its own button. None of them is a substitute for an institutional similarity platform: nothing here can see paywalled journals or previously submitted student work.
The service is free. There is no account, no login and no paid tier today. We take no payment, so there is nothing to cancel and there are no refunds to process. If we introduce a paid tier later, we will publish the terms for it before charging anyone.
Usage is metered in credits. The allowance is counted per IP address, which means people sharing a network or a VPN exit share the allowance.
Use the site for your own writing. Do not use it to break the law, to harass anyone, or to produce material that is illegal where you are.
Do not try to get around the credit limit by rotating IP addresses, using proxies for that purpose, or scripting requests. Do not scrape the site, resell access to it, or run it as a backend for another product. Do not attack the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without asking us first, or attempt to overload it.
Do not submit other people's personal data, confidential material, or anything you do not have the right to send us. We can block traffic that breaks these rules, and we can do it without warning.
If you are a student, you are responsible for following your institution's rules on AI use, and those rules vary between institutions, courses and individual assignments. Running your work through the rewrite may breach that policy if the assignment does not permit AI assistance, and presenting rewritten text as unassisted work may be treated as academic misconduct. We do not encourage academic misconduct and we will not help you conceal it. Check your institution's policy before you submit anything, and if the policy is unclear, ask the person marking the work.
Nothing on this site predicts or guarantees what any third-party AI detector will say about your text. Our analysis is our own opinion, produced by our own model, and it is not a proxy for anyone else's product.
Detection products are retrained and reweighted by their owners without notice. A result that looks one way today can look different tomorrow, on the same text, with no change from us. We make no claim about the accuracy, behaviour or output of any detector, and we accept no responsibility for decisions made about you on the basis of one.
You keep all rights in the text you submit. We claim no licence to it beyond what is technically required to process it and return your result: sending it to our function, passing it to Modal for the model run, and returning the output to your browser.
We do not publish your text, share it with anyone other than the compute provider described above, or use it to train models. Output returned to you is yours to use. Because the model is generative, we cannot promise your output is unique, and identical or similar output may be returned to another user who submits similar text.
The drafting record is built in your browser. It captures your editing activity in the document and signs it using ECDSA P-256 over SHA-256. The private key is generated in your browser and stays there. We never see the key, and we never see the record.
Here is what the record can show: that a document with a particular edit history was assembled in one browser, and that the record was signed by the key held in that browser and has not been altered since. Here is what it cannot show: who was sitting at the keyboard, whether the words were typed by a person or pasted in from somewhere else, and whether any of the content is original. It is evidence of a drafting process, not proof of authorship.
The record is stored in your browser's local storage, on a best-effort basis. If your browser blocks storage, the rest of the site still works. If you clear your browser data, use private browsing, switch devices or switch browsers, the record and the key are gone and cannot be recovered by us. Export anything you need to keep. No school, employer, publisher or court is obliged to accept the record, and we make no promise that anyone will.
The service is provided as it is, with no promise that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We depend on Cloudflare for hosting and on Modal for compute, and an outage at either will take features down.
We may change, limit or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including the free allowance and the limits above. We may change these terms. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, that is your acceptance of the new terms.
The service is free and is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy.
To the maximum extent the law allows, the operator named at the foot of this page is not liable for lost data, lost work, lost profit, lost opportunity, academic penalties, disciplinary outcomes, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which is zero.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction named at the foot of this page, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
